Edit a Project

Update an existing project without creating a new one.

Goal

Update the project name, metadata, or settings after team requirements change.

Who should use this

• Project owners
• Team leads managing multiple active products
• Developers with project edit permissions

You need

• Permission to edit project settings in the selected organization
• Access to the target project

Steps

1. Go to the project you want to update
2. Go to project settings
3. Change the fields you need, such as name or metadata
4. Save the updates

Result

• The project reflects the updated details
• Existing environments, teams, and roles remain linked to the same project

Common issues

• You do not see edit actions: confirm your project role allows updates
• A new project name conflicts with existing naming rules: use a unique name
• Changes are not visible yet: refresh the project view
